Alpha

$500.00

Hair expression has been part of us, especially black women for generations, facing trials of ridicule, resentment, and even hate simply because of its nature. Which is to grow, and yet the hair of black women still holds dominance in our culture today. It brings them a sense of pride, beauty, fashion, and freedom. All to be the expression of one's self. No matter how many times others like the Tignon law have tried to take that away from them. Like nature, there is no getting rid of the beauty and natural connection in growth hair embodies them. Black women have overcome so much and stood on business for what they've believed in Without the help of a man. And we must salute that because that's what Alpha stands for.

Painted on: 16 × 20 inch stretched canvas (acrylic paint)
