When I painted this, I was searching for balance—I realized I’d been pouring so much of myself outward, getting lost in the noise, that I forgot what it meant to be still inside. Her arms, crossed in the eagle pose, became the exact expression I needed—hands meeting above her, anchoring her in balance. The trees inside her hair, blooming in magenta, are the light I never saw in my own darkness until I found that quiet. I chose the purple and blue because they’re the calm I needed—beauty, yes, but a beauty tied to knowing yourself.
