Part of a new set of paintings, I didn't plan this series, it's kinda been flowing out of me. I gave myself freedom to express and explore styles without limits. In this sense, I understood more about the concept, “happy mistakes”. I felt like I could paint almost anything I could imagine, like every stroke was meant to be, setting a stage for the next one but leaving no stroke to be overlooked in it’s beauty and performance. Of course I had fun painting these pieces, but more importantly, I had peace. In knowing that I was finished with each one, without looking back. And just like in this piece, I've done all I’ve desired to do and I’m satisfied with that. The type of internal growth as creators I believe we shouldn't take for granted.
